It is our experience that kids under 10 years of age require a different beginner's course to adults. They do not have the same powers of concentration, and are in many cases still developing core motor skills that adults have already acquired. For this reason we have tested and implemented a specialised junior beginner's group each Saturday morning 9am to 10am.

These beginners integrate with the active fencers in that age group for the early part of the session to help build social connections and general physical skills, then spend 30 minutes in small groups with our trained coaching staff.

Completing a beginner's course is a pre-requisit for joining the club as a full members, if you have never learnt the basic techniques of fencing before. This course provides you with training in the core skills required to fence, and prepares you to be able to join in with experienced members in a regular training environment.

Once the kids have finished their course they integrate smoothly into the training group with which the have already become familiar and begin their transition to full club fencing.

The Beginner's course runs every Saturday from 9am to 10am.

The course costs $250.00 and includes the following: 10 lessons, a basic club uniform (top, pants, and long socks) and use of club equipment.

Once kids have completed this course they have a choice of training sessions:

Under 10 training session, Saturday morning: 9.00-10.00am.

Under 15 Intermediate training session, Saturday morning: 10.05-11.15am

Under 15 Advanced training session, Saturday morning: 11.15am - 12.30pm

Cadet Squad training (by coach invitation) Monday 6.00-7.30pm
