Fioretto runs a small number of competitions each year exclusively for its membership. These are generally informal and used as preparation for other interclub competitions, but there are a couple of annual events which are very important on the club calendar.

The 'Joseph D'Onofrio Cup' was instituted in 2008 in honour of our founder and fencing Maestro, Joseph D'Onofrio. It is a junior event run each May for our under 17 members, with a perennial trophy and a small take home trophy for the champion. On the same day we run an under 13's version of the competition for our younger fencers, which is the 'Jospeh D'Onofrio Under 13's Cup'. This event is the top honour for our juniors each year, with the main winner's name being engraved on the 'J.D. Cup'  which is on display in our entry hall.

We also run an interclub teams event with our neighbours at Monash University. The 'Splinter' is another perenial trophy that goes and stays with the winning club until the next year.

Most competitions that are run at Fioretto Fencing Club are interclub however. This includes our 'Junior Challenge' under 13 foil events and for the first time in 2009, an under 17's challenge. Our main competition is the ERC Open Foil Championship (please see the main menu).
